Proposed Ordinance Adopting the 2016 California Building Standards Code by Reference
Recommendation
A. Adopt Resolution No. 16-_ entitled, “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Goleta Approving Findings to Support Local Modifications to the Standards Contained in the 2013 California Building Standards Code”; and
B. Introduce and conduct first reading (by title only) and waive further reading of Ordinance 16-_ entitled “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Goleta, California, Amending the Following Chapters to Title 15, “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Goleta, California, Amending Title 15, “Buildings and Construction,” of the Goleta Municipal Code, Adopting by Reference the California State Building Codes and Other Related Codes; Adopting Local Revisions to Those Codes; Adding Chapter 15.15 Entitled “Energy Code”, Chapter 15.16 Entitled “Historical Building Code”, Chapter 15.17 Entitled “Existing Building Code”, and Chapter 15.18 Entitled “Referenced Standards Code”; and Repealing Ordinance 13-05.”
